Winstead PC Shareholder David F. Johnson has been recognized by The National Law Review (“NLR”) for its 2020 Go-To Thought Leadership Awards in Fiduciary Litigation. The NLR recognized 71 legal authors and organizations pulled from more than 20,000 pieces of content published on the platform in 2020. The NLR online edition is a resource that captures legal trends and news, and provides updates on a daily basis. It has become one of the highest volume business law websites in the United States.

The NLR states that “David Fowler Johnson is a National Law Review Go-To Thought Leader for his analysis of fiduciary law including trust administration, breach of fiduciary duties in estate administration, shareholder derivative suits, directors and officers liability, duties of co-trustees, receivership, and related topics. Mr. Johnson’s knowledge of the Texas Supreme Court and various Texas intermediate appellate courts as well as with the U.S. Supreme Court and other federal courts lends his thought leadership an authentic quality based on years of trial experience.”

NLR reported that “this is the third year the NLR editors have formally recognized the efforts of less than 1% of the publication’s 15,000 authors across a variety of legal specialties and in law practice management and operations…Authors chosen as NLR Go-To Thought Leadership recipients not only demonstrate impressive legal knowledge and business acumen, but write with an eye towards compliance or adaptation, and along with attracting high numbers of readers they are also frequently referenced in other media and academic journals.”

Johnson is the managing shareholder of Winstead’s Fort Worth office and is the primary author of the Texas Fiduciary Litigator blog (www.txfiduciarylitigator.com), which reports on legal precedent and issues impacting the fiduciary field in Texas.
