Seth Stukalin is a member of Winstead’s Real Estate Finance Practice Group. Seth represents debt funds and other lending institutions in commercial mortgage loan and mezzanine loan transactions. Since joining Winstead, Seth has assisted lenders with the origination of over $2 billion in senior and junior debt.

Seth has represented lenders on a wide variety of deals across various asset classes, including:


  • Origination of loans for the acquisition and renovation of properties in various locations:
    • $265,000,000 loan for a luxury multi-hotel portfolio in San Diego, California
    • $146,000,000 loan for a hotel in Newport Beach, California
  • Modification and extension of $99,000,000 financing for the redevelopment of a hotel in Miami, Florida, encompassing restaurants, condominiums and a beach club


  • Construction financings for apartment complexes in markets across the United States:
    • $98,000,000 for a 400+ unit complex in Euless, Texas
    • $69,000,000 for a 280+ unit complex in Phoenix, Arizona
    • $62,000,000 for a 350+ unit complex in Wilmington, North Carolina


  • $139,000,000 construction loan for a 300,000 square foot Class-A office building located in Raleigh, North Carolina
  • $100,000,000 financing for construction/construction completion of mixed-use office/parking project in Salt Lake City, Utah.  The Project included a multi-tier ground lease structure
  • $45,000,000 loan for the acquisition of a 700,000 sq. ft. industrial park located in Pleasanton, California


  • Refinance of $103,000,000 mortgage loan secured by a national portfolio of outlet malls
  • $58,000,000 loan for the acquisition and redevelopment of a portfolio of big-box retail sites

Syndications and Loan Sales

  • Transfer and pledge of over $50,000,000 of senior and junior notes to warehouse credit facilities
  • Sale of over $40,000,000 in floating-rate notes on term loans with mortgage and mezzanine debt structures (multiple lenders)
