Mallory MuseOf CounselMallory Muse is a member of Winstead’s Real Estate Development & Investments Practice Group. She has extensive experience representing developers, commercial banks and investment firms in complex real estate transactions. Her experience includes managing the real estate aspects of property sales and acquisitions, mortgage and mezzanine loans, and the merger, acquisition or bankruptcy of corporations with significant real estate assets. Mallory’s work includes negotiating lease sale agreements during Chapter 11 bankruptcy, overseeing due diligence and property transfers in multi-billion-dollar acquisitions, as well as reviewing leases in connection with IPOs.
In addition to her private legal practice, Mallory played a key role in impact investing, particularly in affordable and workforce housing, having spent a significant portion of her career as the Vice President of Community Development for The Muse Family Foundation. She has experience creating, implementing, and overseeing investment strategies aligned with strategic priorities, managing the entire investment process from underwriting and deal structuring to closing and portfolio management. Mallory also led the deal team on real estate development projects, including a notable affordable housing project in South Dallas, focusing on financial analysis, contract negotiation, policy research and securing entitlements.
