John M. Moore

John M. Moore is a member of Winstead's Real Estate Development & Investments Practice Group.  John's practice covers a wide range of commercial real estate transactions, including the acquisition and disposition of real estate assets, financings, and company formations.  In addition, John has experience in negotiating and memorializing a wide variety of ancillary agreements, including access and construction easements and earnest money security documents. 

Prior to law school John served in the United States Marine Corps and was deployed to Afghanistan during Operation Enduring Freedom.

Representative Experience

• Represented developer in connection with high-density infill, redevelopment, and build-to-rent (B2R) projects in Texas, including complex due diligence, purchase agreement negotiation, financing, and company formation
• Represented developer in the acquisition of raw land from three contiguous landowners in Texas for a 276-acre single-family residential development project, including the negotiation of owner lease-back agreements and carve-outs for existing gas well pad sites
• Assisted in the representation of borrowers in connection with numerous acquisition and construction loan financings for new and existing development projects
