Conrad Steele

Conrad Steele is a member of Winstead’s Real Estate Development & Investments Practice Group. Conrad is experienced in negotiating a wide array of commercial real estate transactions, including joint ventures, construction and stabilized asset financings and the acquisition and disposition of real estate assets across sectors. Prior to joining Winstead, Conrad was a partner at an international law firm and clerked for the Hon. Carl E. Stewart, then Chief Judge of the U.S. Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the Hon. Harlin D. Hale in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Texas. 

Representative Experience

• Represented majority equity investors in joint ventures across sectors, including programmatic venture to acquire distressed hospitality loan portfolios, development ventures to acquire and develop single family housing portfolios, programmatic venture to acquire self-storage portfolios and programmatic venture to acquire life sciences properties
• Represented borrowers in construction and stabilized asset financings, including CMBS-style and non-CMBS-style financings in excess of $2 billion in the office, multifamily, industrial and self-storage sectors
• Represented purchasers and sellers in portfolio and single asset acquisitions and dispositions across sectors throughout the U.S.
