Amanda Grainger is a member of Winstead's Real Estate Finance, Default Resolution & Servicing Practice Group.  Amanda has a diverse practice which includes real estate finance, commercial real estate, general corporate/transactional and upstream oil and gas matters.   

Before joining Winstead in Dallas, she worked as in-house counsel for over 8 years for Occidental Petroleum and BNSF Railway in a variety of leadership positions, including a two-year stint in the Middle East as Vice President (Legal) for Occidental of Oman.  Her most recent in-house counsel role was Managing Counsel for Occidental of Elk Hills. 

Amanda began her legal career with Winstead in Dallas in 1999 before moving to the east coast to assist with the opening of Winstead’s Washington, D.C. office.  Following Winstead, Amanda moved to Sonnenscehin, Nath and Rosenthal (now Dentons) where she worked on complex corporate transactions for the public law and policy strategies group.    

Amanda is highly-regarded in both the business and legal communities.  She has been honored by inclusion in Who's Who in America, Who's Who in American Law and Who's Who of American Women.

For the last several years Amanda,  Dick White (Winstead Shareholder) and Roland Love (President of North American Title Co.’s Texas Region) have written the annual Real Property Article for the SMU Annual Texas Survey.
