Winstead’s Robert Burton Appointed to the Urban Land Institute-Austin Urban Development and Mixed-Use Council

Robert (Bob) D. Burton was appointed to the Urban Land Institute (ULI)-Austin, Urban Development and Mixed-Use Council this month. ULI Austin was founded to share information and experience, showcase new projects, and examine trends and innovations in real estate in the greater Austin area. The ULI-Austin Urban Development and Mixed-Use Council consists of appointed ULI Austin members who are focused on improving and enhancing the quality of mixed-use real estate to the benefit of the greater Austin community.
Burton is a well-known real estate attorney in Austin and Central Texas who represents national, regional and local clients in the acquisition, development, formation, operation and administration of residential and mixed use condominiums, resort and master planned communities. He works in Winstead's real estate practice and is a key member of the firm’s considerable planned community, mixed use and condominium team. He is also a member of the ULI National Residential Development Council.
Burton has acted as lead condominium counsel to the developer of the W Hotel and Residences and the 360 Condominiums, both in Austin. He presently acts as lead community governance counsel to the developer of the Mueller Airport Redevelopment, Steiner Ranch, and a number of mixed-use developments throughout the state. Burton also represents owner and developer controlled residential, commercial, and mixed-use owners’ associations (both large and small) state-wide.
