DALLAS, TX, June 23, 2023 - Winstead PC, a leading Texas-based law firm with national practices serving clients across the country, today announced that Alex Valdes has been appointed as Chair of the firm’s Diversity Committee and Kristen Sherwin has been appointed as Chair of the Women’s Forum.

“The Women’s Forum has brought together clients, business leaders and our attorneys to focus on important topics impacting women in the business and legal communities. I have asked Kristen to re-imagine our efforts and those of the Women’s Forum as we move forward as a firm,” added Mr. Matthews.

Ms. Sherwin has spent her entire career at Winstead and is a shareholder in the Construction group. She graduated from Indiana University with her B.A. and from Baylor University with her J.D.
Mr. Valdes joined Winstead in 2002 and is a shareholder in the Real Estate Development and Investment group. He received his B.A. from Texas A&M and his J.D. from Baylor University.
