DALLAS, TX, April 3, 2023 – Winstead PC, a leading Texas-based law firm with national practices serving clients across the country, announced today that two of its shareholders, Tracey Bailey and Alex Allemann, have been elected to the Firm’s Board of Directors.
“Both Alex and Tracey are leaders within our firm, as well as outstanding attorneys with a robust legal practice. As I start my term as Chairman & CEO, I am delighted to welcome them to the Board and look forward to continuing to work with them,” said Jeff Matthews.

The new board members commence their service on April 1st and will serve a three-year term.
Biographies
Tracey Bailey is Chair of the Real Estate Finance, Default Resolution & Servicing Practice Group. She represents national and regional lenders in a wide variety of commercial real estate transactions, with a particular focus on construction lending in all asset types including retail, industrial, multifamily, healthcare, and hospitality. Known as dependable and responsive, Tracey is experienced in all aspects of the loan process, managing transactions from origination to closing, as well as loan modifications and workouts.
Her practice also includes the representation of purchasers and sellers in the acquisition and disposition of various types of real estate.
Alex Allemann is Chair of the Corporate, Securities/Mergers & Acquisitions Practice Group, and Co-Chair of the Emerging & Mid-Market Companies Industry Group.
He concentrates his practice in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, and general corporate and securities matters. Alex works with emerging growth companies throughout their life cycle, from formation, through financing, to a successful liquidity event, whether acquisition, recapitalization or public offering. He has extensive experience counseling issuers and investors in public and private equity and debt financings. Alex also regularly represents financial and strategic buyers and investors in connection with their acquisition strategies.
In addition, Alex regularly works with emerging venture fund and studio fund sponsors in all aspects of structuring, fundraising and portfolio company investments.
