David F. Johnson presented his paper entitled “Pre-Trial Receiverships,” to the State Bar of Texas’s Advanced Business Disputes Course on September 11, 2020. The presentation covered the purpose of pre-trial receiverships, other alternative pre-trial remedies, statutory authority for pre-trial receiverships (including  the Texas Civil Practice and Remedies Code, Texas Business Organizations Code, Texas Trust Code, and Equity), and addressed many of the interesting procedural issues that arise when seeking or defending against a request for a receivership or the appeal thereof.
