Tyler HellenbrandAssociateTyler Hellenbrand helps individuals, families, business owners, and fiduciaries preserve wealth and transfer it efficiently across generations through sophisticated estate planning and tax strategies. He advises clients on the legal and tax implications of estate and wealth transfers, helping them minimize transfer taxes, protect family assets, and achieve long-term succession and philanthropic objectives.
Tyler develops customized estate plans ranging from foundational planning to advanced wealth transfer structures for high-net-worth individuals and closely held business owners. He regularly counsels clients on the tax considerations surrounding charitable giving, business succession, and the sale or transfer of privately held companies. His practice also includes trust and estate administration, where he guides trustees, executors, and beneficiaries through complex fiduciary responsibilities and post-death administration.
Working closely with accountants, financial advisors, family offices, and other trusted professionals, Tyler develops coordinated tax-efficient planning strategies tailored to each client’s personal, family, and business goals. He also represents clients in disputes and examinations involving the Internal Revenue Service and state and local taxing authorities.
Outside of the office, Tyler enjoys hiking, fishing, cheering on the University of Kansas Jayhawks, and spending time with family and friends.
