Winstead PC has expanded its business litigation group with a former partner from Wick Phillips, who focuses his practice on litigation related to innovative technology and intellectual property, the firm announced Wednesday.

David Higer joins Winstead as a shareholder in the firm's business litigation group and will continue his work with semiconductor manufacturing clients, medical imaging device manufacturers and other clients who work with patented technologies. His clients include those in the banking, medical, power generation and transportation industries, the firm said
