Dallas, TX, Nov. 18, 2013 — Winstead shareholders Dan Susie, John Mitchell and Jeff King were named "2013 Who’s Who in Energy" by the Dallas and Houston Business Journals. The four shareholders were featured in a special publication focused on the energy industry, distributed in the Nov. 15, 2013, Houston and Dallas Business Journals.
Mitchell works in Winstead’s energy practice group in Dallas. Mitchell’s practice focuses primarily on oil and gas transactions and commercial lending. Mitchell has represented senior lenders in leveraged buyouts, asset-based lending, oil and gas lending, liquidity facilities as support for publicly traded bonds, and workouts.
King is chair of Winstead’s energy law practice group and works in the Fort Worth office. He represents a variety of clients in the energy industry, including oil and gas producers, gas marketing companies, gas pipeline companies and natural gas liquids processing companies, in federal and state courts in Texas including the Texas Supreme Court as well as oil and gas companies before courts in Kansas, Oklahoma and New Mexico.
Susie works in Winstead’s finance and banking group in Dallas and Houston. His practice focuses on negotiation of secured loans with an emphasis on exploration, production, midstream and project financing in the energy industry. He represents financial institutions in revolving, term and mezzanine facilities secured by oil and gas reserves and midstream assets in the United States (both onshore and offshore) and Canada. He is a frequent speaker to the energy departments of money center and regional banks regarding reserve based lending matters.
