AUSTIN, TX., May 13, 2024 - Winstead PC, a leading Texas-based law firm serving clients across the country, announced that Elizabeth Rogers has joined the firm as Of Counsel in the Cybersecurity and Data Privacy group.

Elizabeth’s practice focuses on data privacy and cybersecurity, with a rich background encompassing regulatory compliance, cybersecurity risk management, and privacy law. Her past roles include both Chief Privacy Officer and General Counsel. She has extensive experience and qualifications to assist businesses in compliance with the recently enacted and pending state consumer data privacy laws, including the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act, which goes into effect on July 1, 2024.

Elizabeth earned her J.D. from St. Mary’s University School of Law and her bachelor’s from The University of Texas at El Paso. She is a Fellow at the Texas Bar Foundation, a member of the AI Task Force at the State Bar of Texas, and Chair of the Privacy Law Section at the Austin Bar Foundation.
