Winstead PC Shareholder Sarah Churchill Llamas has been appointed by her peers to the board of directors of the Austin Healthcare Council.
The Austin Healthcare Council is a non-profit organization made up of healthcare industry leaders in Austin who are working together to establish Austin as a global healthcare innovation center. Winstead was a founding member of the organization.
Churchill-Llamas will serve as secretary on the board and is also the chair of the committee for the Healthcare Transformation Summit, an annual event co-hosted by the Austin Healthcare Council and Modern Healthcare magazine.

Churchill Llamas is a healthcare and health information technology attorney and a nationally-recognized expert in health IT solutions, having been appointed a Health IT Fellow by the Office of National Coordinator for Health IT under the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). Sarah is a Shareholder in Winstead's Austin office, Chair of the firm’s Healthcare and Life Sciences Industry Group and member of the Corporate Securities/Mergers & Acquisitions Practice Group.
