Winstead’s Tom Forestier Begins Term as President and Chairman of the Houston Club Board of Directors

Houston, TX, Jun. 7, 2016 — Winstead shareholder Tom Forestier begins a one year term as president and chairman of the board of directors of the Houston Club, effective June 2016.  The Houston Club is considered one of the premier business and social clubs in Houston, celebrating its 123rd year.  Forestier previously served as a member of the board of directors and executive committee for the Houston Club.  He succeeds Jason Ryan, vice president and associate general counsel at CenterPoint Energy Service Company LLC. 

Forestier is a shareholder in Winstead’s Business Litigation and Energy Practice Groups.  He served as chairperson of the firm's diversity committee from 2006-2010 and as the managing shareholder of Winstead’s Houston office from 2010-2013. He is recognized for his experience in representing pipeline companies and other energy companies, banks and other lending institutions, television stations and other media entities. 

Active in the Houston region in civic and legal organizations, Forestier has served as chairman of the board of directors of the Houston Golf Association and the Northwest Assistance Ministries.  He also served as a member of the board of trustees of the Lone Star College System. 

Forestier has received numerous honors in the Houston region, including the Texas Minority Counsel Program (TMCP) Trailblazer for Outside Counsel of the Year Award, the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Hispanic Bar Association of Houston, and he has been recognized as a Who's Who in Energy by Houston Business Journal.  Forestier received his J.D. from the University of Texas School of Law and his B.S. in petroleum engineering from the University of Texas at Austin.
