Charlotte, North Carolina, Sep. 28, 2015 — If you ask the attorneys and staff at Winstead, they will tell you it’s no surprise that their firm was named a 2015 Top Workplace by The Charlotte Observer.  They have enjoyed a fun and fast-paced team environment since the office opened in 2010. 

The Top Workplaces listing is published annually by The Charlotte Observer.  Employers in the region sign up to participate and their employees are then surveyed about culture, leadership, benefits and other work-related issues.  Companies with high scores indicating a happy workforce make the final list. 

The Charlotte Observer revealed the list of companies named Top Workplaces on Sep. 24, 2015.  Over 700 companies participated and the top 50 were selected in three categories: large companies (over 500 employees), medium sized companies (200-500 employees), and small companies (under 200 employees).  Winstead finished in 7th place in the small company category.  Other companies listed as the Charlotte region's Top Workplaces included Red Ventures, Wyndham Capitol Mortgage, and Consolidated Planning Inc., to name a few.  The full list ran in the 2015 Top Workplaces special report, published Sept. 27, 2015.

The Winstead Charlotte office opened in early 2010 and has enjoyed significant growth.  The current Charlotte headcount is 84 employees, of which 48 are attorneys.  The firm has an impressive team of real estate finance, real estate development, and finance and banking attorneys serving various banking, finance and investment clients regionally and nationally.
