Winstead’s Betsy Peticolas Elected President of the Hispanic Bar Association of Austin

Dallas, Jun. 1, 2015 — Winstead associate Betsy Peticolas was elected president of the Hispanic Bar Association of Austin.  The Hispanic Bar Association of Austin ("HBAA") is an organization of Latino lawyers who volunteer their time and energy towards the betterment of the Hispanic community in central Texas.

Peticolas advises clients on issues regarding environmental compliance, permitting, and enforcement concerning air, water, and waste.  Prior to joining Winstead, Peticolas was a staff attorney with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality.  Her experience also includes serving as lead air attorney for Oil and Gas and the Texas Emissions Reduction Plan (TERP) rulemakings.

Peticolas received her J.D. from the University of Texas School of Law where she was the chief notes and reviews editor for the American Journal of Criminal Law and the staff editor for the Texas Hispanic Journal of Law and Policy.
