Winstead’s Yasmin Atasi Honored as One of Houston’s Top 25 Business Women

Houston, Texas, Dec. 9, 2014 — Shareholder Yasmin Atasi was one of the women honored by the National Women’s Council as one of Houston’s Top 25 Business Women.  Honorees were recognized as those who innovate and inspire others to succeed while contributing to the growth and success of their organizations.

Atasi is co-chair of Winstead’s Business Litigation Practice Group and leads Winstead’s diversity committee.  She has been with Winstead since 1990.  Her practice includes lender liability defense, debt collection for financial institutions, real estate litigation, landlord/tenant litigation, securities fraud litigation, insurance defense, Employee Retirement Income Security Act litigation and general complex commercial disputes.

Atasi is a member of the American Bar Association, the State Bar of Texas, and the Houston Bar Association.  She volunteers for the Women’s Resource of Greater Houston and co-leads Winstead’s Women’s Alliance, a group focused on building and strengthening opportunities for women attorneys.  She received her J.D. from the University of Houston Law Center.
