Every Friday at Winstead Winstead employees can donate five dollars to wear jeans.  The proceeds collected are donated to local charities in the communities where Winstead employees live and work.

On Nov. 21, Winstead collected for the Jacob Logan Run, benefitting Family Legacy .  Jacob Logan was a high school student from Coppell who died in a diving accident at Possum Kingdom Lake in the fall of 2012. His family decided to honor Jacob by going to Zambia to help care for orphans thru the charitable organization, Family Legacy.

Winstead participated in the fundraising effort in 2013 and from those funds they raised money to help build a transitional home for eight young men at the Tree of Life Village in Zambia.  Kelly Hulme, a Winstead paralegal, is on the committee involved in the Jacob Logan Run.   In addition, Kelly and her family traveled to Zambia for the opening of Jacob’s House and stayed the following week for a week of Camp Life where they each worked with a group of 10 orphans.  To see a video that captures the experience of Jacob’s House and those who worked to make this happen, click here.
