Winstead is a proud sponsor of ULI (Urban Land Institute) Austin and will be attending their March Breakfast on Airport Expansion. Austin International Airport is still flying towards growth. Owned and operated by the City of Austin, the Austin International Airport (AUS) has supported the extraordinary passenger and cargo growth Central Texas is experiencing. However, by 2040 over 30 million passengers are expected to travel through AUS annually, more than double the passenger volume seen in 2021. Given the airport’s economic impact for the region exceeds $7.6 billion, a 4-phase expansion of domestic, international and cargo service at AUS is now underway. Join us to learn the history of the airport growth plan, receive a post-pandemic project update and gain insights into the future of Austin International Airport’s burgeoning connectivity to the global economy.
