Zack Kessinger


Zack Kessinger is a member of Winstead's Real Estate Development & Investments Practice Group. His practice involves matters related to real estate acquisition, disposition, development, borrowing, lending, construction and leasing. Zack represents developers, private real estate firms and financial institutions in their capacities as sellers, purchasers, landlords, borrowers, lenders and owners in real estate transactions.

Prior to Zack’s legal career, he worked as a:

  • Legal Intern at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission in the Division of Corporation Finance
  • Legal Intern at the St. Louis Cardinals for Senior Vice President & General Counsel Michael Whittle
  • Legal Intern at the United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Missouri for Assistant U.S. Attorney Tom Albus
  • Legal Extern at the Dallas Cowboys for General Counsel Jason Cohen
  • Judicial Intern at the St. Louis County Circuit Court for the Honorable John N. Borbonus

Acquisition and Disposition

  • Represents clients in both acquisition and disposition of improved and unimproved real property, such as retail centers, medical office buildings, mixed-use projects and multi-family developments
  • Represents developers in the negotiation of confidentiality agreements in anticipation of the acquisition of real property

Real Estate Lending

  • Represents lenders and borrowers regarding construction loans, refinancing and permanent financing for retail centers, mixed-use projects, and multi-family developments

Real Estate Development

  • Represents developers in the development of retail centers, medical office buildings, multi-family developments, and mixed-use projects, including condominiums and hotels


  • Represents both landlords and tenants in connection with the negotiation of lease agreements for various types of real property, including retail, office and industrial property
