Paul Seiler


Paul Seiler is a member of Winstead’s Business Restructuring/Bankruptcy Practice Group. His emphasis as a business attorney includes experience in lending, structured finance, public and private bond financings, corporate workouts, complex commercial transactions, banking transactions, debt restructuring, mergers and acquisitions, bankruptcy, asset-based finance, leveraged buyouts and syndicated loan transactions.

A significant portion of his practice has been devoted to workouts and originations in energy sector financings, including commodity finance and electric power generation. He has extensive experience in public and private bond financings and recently served as purchaser’s counsel in connection with the issuance of several series of gas revenue bonds. Paul also served as counsel to an ad hoc committee of bondholders in the Lehman Brothers bankruptcy.

In January 2007, Paul was a delegate representing the International Bar Association (IBA) at the Second International Colloquium on Secured Transactions: Security Interests in Intellectual Property at the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL), convening in Vienna, Austria, and in July 2007, he was also an IBA delegate at the 40th Session of UNCITRAL convening in Vienna, Austria, to discuss the adoption of the UNCITRAL Legislative Guide on Secured Transactions.
