Michael Chen is a member of Winstead's Labor, Employment & Immigration Practice Group. His practice is focused on the representation of international corporations and individuals in immigration matters, by crafting comprehensive, responsive, and practical solutions to their U.S. visa and immigration issues.
Michael counsels multinationals, entrepreneurs, professional services firms, importers and trading businesses, and investment funds in industries ranging from manufacturing, technology, engineering, banking, hospitality, sports and entertainment to real estate, on navigating the complex immigration and visa processes for successfully making investments and bringing essential global professionals into the United States. He also has experience in real estate and financial services transactions.
After law school, Michael won the Covington & Burling Westwood Fellowship and launched the first pro bono wills, probate, and advanced directives clinic serving the Washington, D.C. Metro area.
Prior to joining Winstead, Michael served almost eight years as Assistant District Attorney for Mecklenburg County, North Carolina.
